Modern Backlit Artwork defined:

In most cases images are a combination of digital and acrylic artwork.
The included frame encloses battery-powered electronics that sense the presence of human motion in the room, and in response, backlight the image when the room is dark.
Image backlighting occurs very subtly, with light intensity increasing slowly to a maximum once motion is detected, and fading gently to darkness when motion has ceased.
Up to eight lighting scenes are including in each piece.  (Please note that website portfolio images may not show all lighting scenes.)  In many cases, backlighting reveals hidden elements in the painting. In all cases the backlit colour softly cascades from the image, helping to create a rich, appealing mood in the room.

  • Batteries are enclosed inside the frame, and are replaceable.  Batteries are expected to last 1 year under average conditions.
  • A small opening in the front of the frame allows the electronics to detect motion in front of the picture.
  • A small sensor at the top of the frame disables backlighting when the room is sufficiently bright.
  • Mounting hardware is included with the picture, as are delivery and installation services for selected GTA locations.
